Hosted by Larta Institute and National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), this virtual event marks the culmination of the NOAA SBIR Phase II TABA Program, spotlighting innovative technologies advancing solutions in environmental modeling, coastal and community resilience, hazard detection and extreme events, and ocean observation and data innovation.
This session will spotlight SBIR-backed innovations focused on food safety, featuring two companies developing tools and systems to reduce contamination risks, streamline monitoring, and improve supply chain resilience.
This session will focus on three SBIR-backed companies with emerging solutions in robotics, control systems, and smart factory tools. Presentations will be followed by a live Q&A and optional breakout rooms for direct engagement.
HyperLocal Farms believes that fresh, nutrient-dense food should be accessible to everyone. From in-door vertical farms, growing high-quality microgreens, sprouts and edible flowers to ensuring the highest standards of safety and quality are delivered to restaurants, distributors and retailers across Florida.
Witching Houris on a mission to prevent wildfires before they spark. By retrofitting power lines with an advanced robotic insulation system, they reduce the risk of electrical fires caused by overhead wires and nearby vegetation. Their innovative, in-place solution is significantly faster and more affordable than traditional methods — helping power companies protect communities without digging up roads or breaking the bank.
A4i supports individuals with complex behavioral and mental health conditions. A4i secured a Mental Health center to enhance A4i's footprint across health systems to support digital innovation in severe mental illness. With the focus of psychosis, schizophernia and Opiod use disorder, the company is scaling its Health at Home initiative to serve rural and underserved communities across Canada.
Airloom Energy’s mission is to create a low-cost, utility-scale, resilient energy generation technology that’s simple to manufacture and transport, which can be installed anywhere. By 2027, the company is set to complete its pilot site build. Its design is to validate its power curve, ensure production efficiency, refine the cost of deployment, and expand maintenance documentation.
